The comedienne is looking healthy

Dawn French is once again rocking a svelte-looking frame.

The comic, 56, looks happy and healthy showing off her slimmer figure on the front cover of this month’s Woman & Home magazine.

The shot sees Dawn flatter her shape in a long-sleeved crinkled gold dress, which is paired with a long necklace and a blonder fringed bob.

Dawn lost almost 7.5st in 2011 by cutting out chocolate and carbs but admitted last year that she’d regained 3st and felt more ‘in control’ a little bigger.

It was originally thought that Dawn – who married Mark Bignell in 2013 – shed the pounds because of her and Lenny’s split but she revealed last month that it was actually for health reasons.

She chose to have a hysterectomy after her doctor told her he thought she may have uterine cancer and needed to lose weight before undergoing a keyhole operation.

‘Otherwise it would be big open surgery, and three months to recover. So, I set about dropping a few stone,’ said Dawn during her 30 Million Minutes show in Sheffield.

‘No magic wand, just tiny, joyless low-cal eating and lots more walking for weeks and weeks. It was grim. I could have the keyhole surgery. Great. That’s all it was, practical.’
