Dan looks ripped in The Guest

Dan Stevens has had quite a makeover since leaving Downton Abbey.

The actor, 31 – whose Downton character Matthew Crawley was killed off in 2012 – shows off his rippling torso and fit arm muscles in a topless still from his new film The Guest.

In the thriller, Dan plays a soldier named David who arrives at the home of the grieving Peterson family after they lose their son Caleb in action in Iraq.

David claims to be a friend of Caleb and the Petersons welcome him into their home, but a sinister chain of accidental deaths appear to be connected to him.

Fans of ITV period drama Downton are very impressed with his transformation.

‘This is Dan Stevens now. OH MY GOD,’ Tweeted one, alongside the shirtless photo.

Another wrote: ‘Dan Stevens’ (Matthew Crawley) post-Downton Abbey project. Well, hello there. Someone’s been hitting the gym.’
