The singer reckons Kate and Wills' child would suit a 'rock'n'roll' moniker

Ed Sheeran doesn’t think Kate Middleton and Prince William should give their baby a traditional name.

The singer wants the couple to choose something a little wild for their little boy or girl when Kate gives birth next year.

‘I just think it’s time for someone in the Royal Family to have a rock’n’roll name for their kids. Call it Ziggy or Twig,’ says Ed, 21.

‘This is the time. If ever’s the time to do it, it is now. Call it Twig or Oak Tree or PSY – or even PSYmon.’

Despite his odd suggestions for what Kate and William, both 30, should call their child, Ed insists he has respect for the royals.

He met members of the family when he performed at the Queen‘s Diamond Jubilee concert in June and was thrilled when St James’s Palace announced the Duchess‘s baby news last week.

‘A lot of people have mixed views on the Royal Family. But me, I think it’s really cool,’ Ed tells the Daily Star.

‘And as for Will and Kate, they’re in love and they’re having a baby, it’s wicked.’
