Karl has strong opinions

Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld has caused controversy by saying that he doesn’t like Pippa Middleton‘s face.

The 78-year-old German made the comment about Pippa, 28, while talking about her older sister Kate‘s fashion sense.

Kate Middleton has a nice silhouette and she is the right girl for that boy. I like that kind of woman, I like romantic beauties,’ said Karl, reports The Sun.

‘On the other hand, her sister struggles. I don’t like her sister’s face. She should only show her back.’

This isn’t the first time that Karl has got into trouble for talking about a female celebrity’s looks.

In 2009, he said that Heidi Klum was ‘too heavy’ to be a catwalk model and he was forced to apologise after he commented on singer Adele‘s weight earlier this year.

‘The thing at the moment is Adele,’ Karl wrote in a free French newspaper.

‘She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.’
