Kate Middleton's sister competes against 15,800 other skiers in charity event

Pippa Middleton still looked glamorous as she crossed the finish line of Sweden’s gruelling annual 56-mile cross-country ski race Vasaloppet on Sunday.

The 28-year-old, who wore a full face of make-up for the event, recorded a time of 7 hours, 13 minutes and 36 seconds, placing her 412th in the women’s section.

‘I must congratulate Pippa – she had a fantastic performance,’ says race spokesman Per Strid.

‘What she achieved was really impressive for a first timer.

‘She was obviously very fit and in very good shape.’

Pippa‘s brother James, 24, finished 26 minutes ahead of his sister, which she said was ‘probably fair’.

Kate‘s little sister posed for photographs with spectators and was even given a kiss on the cheek from one man, whose job it was to present the winner with a garland.

Pippa and James were raising money for a charity that ‘delivers fuel for learning’.

‘My brother and I are raising money for Magic Breakfast,’ Pippa writes on her JustGiving.com donation website.

‘It’s a small registered charity that fights child hunger through breakfast clubs and delivering free breakfasts (bagels, cereal, juice and porridge) to thousands of state primary school children in the UK –
particularly our inner cities.’
