Former Geordie Shore star Ricci Guarnaccio reveals the shocking truth about his turbulent relationship with Vicky Pattison
In the TOWIE episode, she told pals: ‘Everyone slaps their boyfriend once – when they deserve it.’
The 26-year-old became an MTV favourite as fans followed his relationship with feisty Vicky Pattison.
But in a Now exclusive, Ricci reveals that their romance was torn apart by drunken fights, with the 25- year-old slapping him on a number of occasions – something that she denies.
‘I was totally in love with her but our relationship was even more volatile than Geordie Shore viewers saw on screen,’ Ricci tells us.
‘After five or six months together we started fighting.
‘We were famous for our massive rows and we were both as bad as each other.
‘But the fights got worse and worse.
‘When Vicky and I were together we became completely unrecognisable.
‘Hotel rooms would get smashed
Ricci says he and Vicky were in their own personal hell.
‘It always seemed to be when alcohol was involved. We continued having heated arguments.
‘She slapped me many times during our relationship.
‘I have no idea how often it happened – 20, 30, 40 times maybe.
‘And I didn’t tell anyone. I just wanted to pretend that our relationship was OK.
‘I felt totally ashamed and embarrassed. But I never once retaliated and hit her back. Ever.’
Vicky tells Now: ‘All I’ll say on this matter is that there are two sides to every story.
‘I don’t intend to go down the same route as my ex-partner and try to embarrass him.
‘I feel sorry for him as he’s clearly bitter since his dismissal from both Geordie Shore and my life.
‘I hope his ridiculous notion of events has brought him solace.’
