Harry really cares about Directioners

Harry Styles showed his caring side when he took time out of his busy schedule to visit a One Direction fan who’s suffering from cancer.

The singer, 20 – who’s currently on the North American leg of 1D’s Where We Are tour – travelled to eight-year-old Campbell Hoyt‘s New Jersey home on Saturday.

‘He was emphatic that he did not do this for publicity,’ Campbell’s mum Robin tells local press.

‘He truly just wanted to meet Cam. I would not want anyone to get the wrong idea.’

Campbell has been battling ependymoma – a form of brain and spine cancer – since she was diagnosed with the disease aged three in 2009.

Her mum had previously Tweeted that meeting Harry was her greatest wish and that they’d ‘tried every way we have had available to us’ to make it come true.

Two days before their meet-up, Harry had written on Twitter: ‘Campbell Hoyt, I am thinking of you and sending you all the love in the world. That’s a lot of love. H.’

Harry is very good with kids and met up with Cindy Crawford‘s children Presley, 15, and Kaia, 12, at the model’s Canadian lake house at the weekend.

The heartthrob – who’s been pals with Cindy’s family for a while – also took the pair backstage during 1D’s gig at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on Saturday with their father Rande Gerber.

‘Great night with the kids and H,’ Rande, 52, captioned an Instagram shot of the trio.
