Taylor wanted to tell the band how much she loves them

Taylor Swift has revealed that she’s taken a liking to boy band Lawson.

The singer went backstage after watching them perform at Capital FM‘s Jingle Bell Ball on Saturday night to tell them how much of a fan she is.

‘Meeting Taylor was the icing on the cake for us,’ says guitarist Joel Peat, 22.

‘To see her and the whole of the O2 singing back the words to Standing In The Dark, we’ll never forget.’

Taylor, 22, is likely to have been at the Jingle Bell Ball to support performers One Direction, as she was snapped holding hands with Harry Styles numerous times in New York last week.

Now Lawson are hoping to follow in 1D‘s footsteps by trying to crack the States over the next few months.

‘We can’t wait to get out to America next year,’ Joel tells the Daily Mirror.

‘Hopefully Taylor will come.’
