The TV chef is big on the other side of the Atlantic


Jamie Oliver has had huge success with his chain of Jamie’s Italian restaurants since the first branch opened in Oxford in 2008.

Now the 36-year-old TV chef wants to take the brand Stateside by launching a host of eateries across the US and Canada.

‘He is determined to make it big in America,’ says a source.

‘His ambition is to make his restaurants the household name in the States they are here.’

Dad-of-four Jamie – who’s previously opened outlets in Dubai and Sydney – first became a hit over the Atlantic with his programme Food Revolution.

‘He has already dipped his toe in the water with his TV show there,’ the source tells the Sunday Mirror.

‘But Jamie‘s love will always be for cooking and opening restaurants.’
