The heptathlete is getting married next year

Team GB‘s Jessica Ennis says she’s terrified of walking down the aisle to marry her fiancé Andy Hill next summer.

The athlete was watched by millions of people when she won her Olympic gold medal in the heptathlon earlier this month – but this hasn’t made her any less scared about getting hitched in her hometown of Sheffield.

‘I know I’ll be nervous,’ says Jessica, 26.

‘I’m not sure but it might be even more nerve-wracking than the Olympics.’

Jessica underwent months of gruelling training in order to get in shape for London 2012.

She was too busy to make preparations for her big day during the build-up to the Games so she’s enjoying having some time off to concentrate on making her nuptials perfect.

‘I’ve done quite a bit of planning but I’ve still got quite a bit to do,’ Jessica tells the Sunday Express.

‘I’ve not had time to get my dress, but I’ve seen a couple that I like.’
