Josie Gibson has put 7lb back on so that she doesn't look ill
It’s the same every New Year.
A handful of hard-working celebs unveil their streamlined new bodies and we buy the DVD they’re plugging with the intention of looking just as hot.
Cut to six months later and often those very same stars are spotted relaxing on a beach looking a little softer round the edges, having seemingly ditched the diet they’d boasted about.
Except for Josie Gibson.
The 28-year-old has proven to be a weight loss inspiration by trimming her size 20 bod down to a size 10-12 and maintaining it.
But Gemma Collins, who Josie helped with her weight issues, sniped that the Big Brother winner had lost too much and ‘used to have a lovely face’.
‘I love Gemma – she’s so funny,’ says Josie.
‘I don’t think she meant to call me ugly but I know what she means.
‘My mum said the same thing.
‘When I went down to a size 8, my mum said: ‘You look like a crackhead – put some weight on!’
‘[Laughs] It’s hard to find that happy balance but I have put some more weight back on – 7lb.
‘You have to compromise with your face and your body sometimes.
‘There’s a balance.’
Josie’s new DVD 21 Day Fat Burn and her book The Josie Gibson Diet: Love Food, Get Slim, Stay Slim (£12.99, Macmillan) are out now
