Both Kate and Amy are great at the sport

Kate Middleton showed off her impressive table tennis skills as she joined husband Prince William and his brother Prince Harry at the launch of a new sports project yesterday.

The Duchess, 30, played a game after dribbling a football and refereeing a judo match at the launch of the Coach Core scheme in Rotherhithe, London.

‘It was nerve-racking playing her but she was really nice so it made me relaxed,’ her opponent Hiba Feredj, 13, tells the Mirror.

Coach Jason Sugrue adds: ‘She was unbelievably talented and had good hand-eye co-ordination.’

But Kate isn’t the only well-known face who knows her way around a table tennis table.

We’d love to see her take on former TOWIE star Amy Childs, who played the sport for Essex in her younger years.

‘I credit my toned arms to being a table tennis champion when I was a teenager. It must be muscle memory,’ Amy, 22, told us last year.

‘I got into playing because of my brother and I was soon better than him.’
