Thoughtful David has sent Katie's kids signed copies of his books
Despite Britain’s Got Talent judge David, 43, being ‘devastated’ by his reported split from wife Lara Stone, he still took the time to send Katie‘s kids signed copies of his books.
Katie, 36, posted Twitter snaps of Junior, nine, Princess, seven, and Jett, one, with their gifts on Saturday, which she captioned with sweet thank you messages.
Thoughtful David also gave Katie‘s eldest son Harvey, 12 – who is blind – a set of CDs so he could enjoy the stories with his siblings.
And while her seven-month-old daughter Bunny managed to escape the camera’s lens, Katie told David that she was very pleased with her present. Nawww.
David clearly appreciated Katie‘s Tweets as he replied: ‘My pleasure. Thank you so much for giving up your time for @comicrelief x.’
Both Katie and David have been busy taking part in activities to raise money for Red Nose Day, which will take place this Friday.
David has been very successful as a children’s author since releasing his first novel The Boy In The Dress in 2008. He’s now written six more.
But the dad-of-one is thought to have been going through quite a difficult time recently. After five years of marriage, he and Lara, 31, are said to have embarked on a trial separation.
According to reports, Lara left their London home last Tuesday, taking their son Alfred – who’s nearly two – along with their dog Bert.
News of the break-up came as a shock to the couple’s friends, who thought the marriage was strong, and it sounds like David is finding it hard to deal with as well.
‘David has been putting on a brave face,’ says a source. ‘But people close to him are very worried because they know he’s devastated.’
The comic is apparently keen to win back his wife and hopes they can work through their problems.
