The model takes to Twitter for first time since welcoming Jett

Katie Price has sent a sweet Tweet to her followers thanking them for their congratulations after the birth of her fourth child.

The model, 35, welcomed her and husband Kieran Hayler‘s son Jett Riviera last week in a dramatic emergency Caesarean operation.

‘Finally in a state to tweet thank you for everyone’s amazing support and messages! I love @kieran0322 and our amazing baby boy jett. #jett,’ Tweeted Katie.

Katie was abroad with her family when her waters broke and she was hospitalised as doctors battled to keep her baby in the womb as long as possible.

But, as the amniotic sac was split, she reportedly developed a life-threatening infection and was rushed into theatre.

Katie and Kieran, 26, are now staying in a nearby villa so they can visit Jett, who is 2 months premature and being looked after at a special care unit.

Hours before Katie took to Twitter to speak to fans, her older brother Danny posted a comment from her account saying that she and Kieran are ‘so happy’ with their new arrival.

‘we look forward to coming home when allowed and introducing him to our families xx,’ Tweeted Danny on Katie‘s behalf.

Little Jett is a brother for Katie‘s son Harvey, 11 – whose dad is footballer Dwight Yorke – and Junior, 8, and Princess, 6, from her marriage to Peter Andre.

Katie is already looking forward to having a fifth child.

‘We’ve been through a nightmare but it’s made me and Kieran strong,’ she tells The Sun. ‘We can’t wait to have another baby.’
