Kelly Brook believes in investing in classy accessories
When Kelly Brook walks into the room, we know about it.
Not because of that swishy mane of hair swept over one shoulder or even the famous hourglass figure poured into a sleek Sandro fit’n’flare frock.
It’s mainly because she trips on her sky-high Yves Saint Laurent patent stilettos and falls over.
Whenever I meet someone, I always do something in the first five minutes to embarrass myself,’ she giggles once she’s on her feet again.
No stranger to a strong comeback following her recent split from Danny Cipriani, Kelly belly-laughs her way through our chat without the slightest hint of heartache.
She’s very proud of her 2013 New Look fashion range.
‘It’s weird being in the public eye with a brand because people watch you grow up. My designs have to reflect where I am in my life,’ Kelly tells us.
‘I have to wear it, I have to talk about it; it has to reflect me. When I first started my collaborations with New Look, my designs were very 50s, but I was 25 then.
‘I’m always trying new ideas and evolving my brand.
‘Now I’m 34 I wanted something a bit more sophisticated and accessible, things a working woman could wear.’
Kelly‘s simple style advice is: ‘Don’t over-accessorise and don’t complicate things.
‘Always go for expensive shoes and handbags. Always have nice nails and nice hair – my hair’s quite long, but these are extensions – and keep everything neat.’
So how much does it cost a week to be Kelly Brook?
‘I couldn’t tell you how much I cost because it’s mortifying!’ she admits. ‘My credit card bills are hideous.’
