The rapper credits Kim for providing him with a 'support system'

Kanye West reckons he’s the ‘No 1 rock star on the planet’.

The rapper, 35, chatted to BBC Radio 1 presenter Zane Lowe in a bizarre interview this week, which saw him claim that his music is like ‘a hologram pop-up out of R2-D2‘.

‘I’m here to crack the pavements and make new sounds in society, culturally… for me, as Kanye West, I’m here to f*ck sh*t up,’ said Kanye.

‘If you’re a Kanye fan, you’re not a fan of me, you’re a fan of yourself. I’m just the espresso. I’m just the shot in the morning.

‘I have reached the point where my Truman Show boat has crashed into the painting.’

Despite having a lot confidence in his career, Kanye also paid tribute to his girlfriend Kim Kardashian on air – who he had daughter North with in June.

He loves looking after little North with Kim, 32, and feels comfortable knowing that the reality star can support herself financially.

‘Family time – it’s what Kim gave me. She gave me everything. She gave me a family. She gave me a support system,’ said Kanye.

‘She was in a powerful enough situation where she could love me without asking me for money, which is really hard for me to find.’
