The reality star has been avoiding high-carb meals
Kim Kardashian has revealed that she’s on the Atkins diet.
The reality star’s shed an impressive amount of weight since giving birth to her and Kanye West‘s daughter North in June and it seems it’s down to the low-carb eating plan.
‘I’ve actually been doing the Atkins diet & luv it,’ Tweeted Kim, 32, at the weekend.
Kim was criticised for going up to 200lb during her pregnancy – although she said at the time that reports were ’60lb off’ – and is now believed to have lost 30lb.
Aside from changing her food habits, Kim is thought to have worked out with trainer Tracy Anderson every day since welcoming North and is often snapped in her gym gear.
Tracy – who’s also helped Gwyneth Paltrow get into shape – reckons Kim‘s weight loss has been so successful because she’s ‘very connected’ to little North.
‘She’s eating lots of lean proteins, healthy fats like nuts and avocado, carbs, fruits, veggies and cheese,’ an Atkins representative tells the Mail Online.
‘She wanted to be a healthy, nursing mum and not toxify her milk with her diet or lose weight too quickly. She’s been doing Atkins since her doctor approved it at the end of June.’
