Lady Gaga intends to be a legend in her own lifetime
Lady Gaga doesn’t want to end up dead at the age of 27 like troubled stars Amy Winehouse, Janis Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain.
The outrageous singer, who recently appeared as a guest on The X Factor, is determined to celebrate her 28th birthday next March.
‘I want to live and I want my fans to live,’ Gaga told US radio’s Elvis Duran. ‘I won’t want them to torture themselves in the way I have.
‘I want to show people that I will last past 27 and I will last longer, and so will you.
‘I want to change this code in the atmosphere that in order to be
remembered, I must die young. In order to be remembered as a legend, I
must be dead first. This is unhealthy.’
Lady Gaga, who has admitted using cannabis, confessed to DJ Howard Stern in 2011 that she used to take cocaine alone in her apartment.
‘I think that I was lonely and there was something about the drugs that made me feel like I had a friend,’ she explained.
‘I didn’t do [drugs] with other people. I did it alone in my apartment and I wrote music and I regret every line I ever did.’
She warned fans: ‘Don’t touch it [cocaine], it’s the devil.’
