The singer thinks the athletes deserve better

Lily Allen isn’t impressed with the modest bouquets of flowers that are being presented to medallists at the Olympics.

The singer reckons the short-stemmed bunches don’t look expensive enough to be given to those who have won gold, silver or bronze gongs.

‘On another Olympic note, the presentation flowers are a little petrol stationy no ?’ Tweets Lily, 27.

Despite not liking the floral tributes at the Games, Lily – who’s currently expecting her second child with husband Sam Cooper – has been enjoying watching the athletes’ performances.

Last week, she bumped into royalty as she arrived to see South African swimmer Chad le Clos beat the USA’s Michael Phelps in the 200m butterfly event.

‘Just got to Olympic park saw Ptince Harry drive past in his car and he WAVED at me,’ Lily told her followers.
