Louis thinks he's suffering from tinnitus

Louis Tomlinson is worried that his hearing has been affected by performing gigs in front of thousands of noisy fans.

The One Direction singer had a bad headache for 3 days after he and his band mates played at Liverpool’s Echo Arena last week.

‘I am going slightly deaf in my right ear. It’s tinnitus… something like that,’ claimed Louis, 20.

‘All our fans are always very loud, especially Scousers.’

Tinnitus – which Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has suffered from for 10 years – is a persistent noise in the ear that can sound like electric buzzing, hissing or even whistling.

While it’s understood that Louis hasn’t been formally diagnosed with the condition, he’s been warned not to play his iPod too loudly.

Precautions are already in place to ensure he and the other 1D boys aren’t exposed to very loud noise on stage.

‘They are only young and still developing, so management insist they wear hi tech earpieces and filters to reduce the volume of the screaming and the music,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘When Louis made his comments he had really bad earache. Thankfully, this has now cleared up but he knows to be careful in future.’
