The TOWIE star has no hard feelings towards Max

Lucy Mecklenburgh has rubbished reports that she’s ‘mortified’ about Max George‘s alleged hook-up with Simon Cowell‘s ex Jasmine Lennard.

Lucy, 22, is actually sympathetic towards Max, 24, after Jasmine, 28, claimed The Wanted singer was ‘like a rabbit’ in bed and that their tryst was over ‘very fast’.

‘My initial reaction is that I feel sorry for Max. It’s not nice for someone to write that about you,’ says Lucy.

‘He’s single and I’m single – we’re not an item. He can do what he wants, so I feel bad that he’s getting bad press for cheating on me when we’re not together. There are no hard feelings.’

Lucy was believed to be dating Max before Jasmine made her claims, although he recently said that he’s ‘having fun’ and ‘doesn’t know’ if he wants to settle down yet.

TOWIE star Lucy admits that the pair have snogged but insists things were ‘very innocent’ between them and that they knew it wasn’t going to amount to anything ‘big’.

‘We never got to be at the relationship stage! We just got on and went out a few times,’ says Lucy.

‘It was just quite friendly and flirty. We met up a few times. We liked each other, but we’re both really busy. He’s in a different country most of the time.’
