The One Direction singer hates small spaces

Niall Horan was terrified when he got stuck in a lift celebrating One Direction‘s Brit Awards success on Wednesday night.

The claustrophobic singer, 20, endured a four-minute stay in the elevator as he and seven other revellers tried to go between floors at a celeb-packed after party.

‘Security were frantically trying to get the lift working again but the emergency alarm was down and it simply wouldn’t budge,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘Everyone was trapped and getting increasingly hot and bothered.’

Niall may have felt extra-vulnerable during the scary incident as he’s currently on crutches while recovering from a knee operation he underwent last month.

Unfortunately for the Irish star, this isn’t the first time he’s had lift trouble in recent months – he had a similar issue in Milan, Italy last December.

‘Needed a few minutes to myself ! 8 of us got stuck in a tiny lift ! Well I was freakin out! My heart is still thumping now!’ Tweeted Niall shortly afterwards.

‘That wasn’t fun! Claustrophobia is a terrible thing! and people tellin ya t calm down is worse hahha.’
