The singer is exercising his knee

Niall Horan got the chance to show off his football skills at Chelsea FC‘s ground this week.

The One Direction singer, 20, donned the club’s blue training kit to practise his keepy-uppys and headers on the pitch at their Cobham base.

Chelsea stars including John Terry and Fernando Torres were playing just metres away.

It’s believed that Chelsea manager José Mourinho gave Niall permission to exercise there in order to help his recovery from major knee surgery.

Niall went under the knife in January and was on crutches at the Brit Awards last month.

José – whose daughter Matilde is a big 1D fan – knows that Niall needs to work hard to make sure he’s fit for the start of the group’s upcoming world tour next month.

He’ll head to South America with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik on 25 April before jetting to Europe and North America.

Irish hottie Niall first met José when the band had a private training session with his Real Madrid side in May 2013 and they’ve kept in contact ever since.
