The pair have been acting up
The One Direction singer, 20, was filming himself singing for the group’s upcoming 3D film and was lucky to be let off with a warning.
‘Louis and the lads are having a great time in the Big Apple and want to capture every minute,’ a source tells The Sun.
‘Louis was only standing through the sunroof momentrily but it was long enough to catch the eye of the cops. He may have found it funny but motorists stuck in a traffic jam certainly didn’t.’
Louis isn’t the only 1D member who got into trouble in the Big Apple – Liam Payne provoked an angry reaction from staff at the Empire State Building when he slammed their security on Twitter.
‘@Real_Liam_Payne bad behaviour not accepted at ESB. No, our security does not know who you are, and does not care,’ Tweeted the building’s official account.
Liam, 19, has since apologised for his rant.
‘I would like to formally apologise to the Empire State Building security team and its owners for our misunderstanding the other night,’ he Tweets.
‘I didn’t mean to cause anyone any problems and hope that I can come back again for a visit again in the future :).’
