The singer doesn't want his kids to grow up too fast

Peter Andre doesn’t want his kids Junior and Princess to try alcohol for a long time.

The singer, 41, thought it was interesting that a recent survey revealed almost 1 in 4 parents let their teens drink to celebrate the end of exams but he can’t see himself giving Junior, 9, and Princess, 6 – known as Bista – a tipple for many years.

‘It’s not actually illegal for children aged between five and 16 to consume alcohol in their home with their parents,’ says Peter.

‘I don’t think I’ll let Junior and Bista have a drink at home on special occasions until they are in their late teens. However, I say that now, but I don’t know what it’s going to be like when they’re 14 or 15.’

Peter – who had Junior and Princess with ex-wife Katie Price and welcomed baby Amelia with fiancée Emily MacDonagh in January – admits that he was already partying in his youth.

But he’d got bored of clubbing long before settling down.

‘I was very young when I first tried alcohol, and I also started going out quite young,’ says Peter.

‘But one thing’s for sure, by the time I was 27 I was over it!’
