Peter is now a settled family man

Peter Andre has opened up about having counselling at the start of his relationship with fiancée Emily MacDonagh.

The singer, 41, felt he had commitment issues when he and Emily, 24, first got together in 2012 but the couple are now settled with their seven-month-old daughter Amelia.

‘Therapy really helped me but, ultimately, it was Emily who got me through it,’ says Peter.

‘Now it’s great seeing little Mills growing into a true beaut and I’m so grateful to be having the quality time with her I so wished for. She’s a really happy, content child.’

Pete – who’s also dad to kids Junior, 9, and Princess, 7, with ex-wife Katie Price – showed just how serious he is about Emily when he proposed on New Year’s Eve.

But he reckons it was the arrival of little Amelia in January that really made him realise how important the medical student is to him.

‘You can be boyfriend and girlfriend with someone and it can all be great, but it’s not until you have a child together that it really solidifies your relationship,’ says Pete.

‘I think having more children with make our bond even stronger, but we’re not planning anything just yet.’
