Peter hadn't experienced a natural labour before

Emily MacDonagh was worried that Peter Andre might feel a bit squeamish at the birth of their little girl three weeks ago.

Peter, 40, was with the medical student throughout her labour at Somerset’s Musgrove Park Hospital but Emily, 24, didn’t let him see the baby’s head emerge.

She thought it might be too much for Pete to handle as his ex-wife Katie Price had welcomed their children Junior and Princess via C-section.

‘He went nowhere near the bottom end, which was my choice,’ says Emily.

‘He’s never seen natural labour before, I didn’t want to freak him out! He was so supportive.’

Peter and Emily – who announced their engagement this week – are smitten with their ‘beautiful’ daughter but still haven’t chosen a name for her.

After Bista’s sister emerged into the world, Pete cut the umbilical cord and Emily says the singer was so calm he even managed to give her a back massage.

‘I was so overwhelmed and tired, I just cried. My mum was crying, I was crying, Pete was crying,’ says Emily.

‘Then I slept for half an hour before the first feed.’
