The actor once had dreams of a hip-hop career

Robert Pattinson has revealed that his career could have gone in a very different direction.

The actor, 28, rose to fame playing vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight film saga – but once hoped he’d make it in the hip-hop world.

‘I was Big Tub, that was my rap name. I was very paranoid about my weight,’ says Robert.

‘I remember I didn’t know how to scratch so I used to pull and down the zip on my hoodie. It sounds exactly like it.’

It seems as though Robert – who’s confirmed he’s single after splitting from long-term love Kristen Stewart last May – still isn’t entirely confident with his body.

He’s joked that he’s looking forward to losing a few pounds after falling ill recently.

‘I got quite sick in the last couple of days and I’m so excited about it,’ quips Robert on US chat show Late Night With Seth Meyers.

‘Next week, I’m going to be so skinny!’
