The Saturdays singer went through a difficult time after giving birth

Rochelle Humes has admitted that she suffered from the ‘baby blues’ after giving birth to her and Marvin Humes‘ daughter Alaia-Mai.

The Saturdays singer, 24, couldn’t help feeling tearful in the week following her little girl’s arrival on 20 May.

‘I was textbook – day three and day five, the floodgates opened,’ says Rochelle.

‘On day three, I stepped out of the shower in the hospital and just burst into tears.’

Rochelle managed to get through her first few difficult days as a mum and is now smitten with gorgeous Alaia-Mai, who she and Marvin, 28, call their ‘princess’.

JLS star Marvin – who midwives called the most ‘good, attentive husband’ – and pals including mother-of-two Myleene Klass helped her feel like her normal self again.

‘When I looked at my phone, my friend Myleene had sent me a text, saying: “Hi babe, it’s day three, just so you know, if you cry today it’s normal,”‘ Rochelle tells Hello!

Myleene is so thoughtful like that.’
