Jack will play prisoner of war Louis Zamperini

Tulisa Contostavlos‘s ex-boyfriend Jack O’Connell has reportedly bagged the lead role in Angelina Jolie‘s new film.

Ex-Skins star Jack, 22, will play 1936 Olympian Louis Zamperini in Unbroken, which is Angelina‘s second directorial outing.

Louis – who’s now 96 and a good friend of Angelina – is a long distance runner who was taken captive by the Japanese after his plane crashed in WW2.

Angelina is said to have originally wanted her partner Brad Pitt to take the role but at 49 he was considered too old.

Tulisa – who’ll celebrate her 25th birthday tomorrow – dated Jack for three months last year.

She may be feeling a little miffed after hearing of Jack‘s Hollywood break – she revealed in January that she’s also hoping to make it in LA.

‘I love acting as much as I love music so I would want to go to the top as much as I would in music,’ Tulisa told Metro.

The X Factor
is the only TV I would really do but I am getting back into my acting
career this year. I’ve done bits in two films and two TV series.’
