Family and friends gather for service

Corey Haim was laid to rest in his native Toronto yesterday.

Over 200 of The Lost Boys star’s family and friends attended the private service at Steeles Memorial Chapel.

A crowd of fans also lined up outside the funeral home to pay their respects to the actor who died last week, aged 38.

His best friend Corey Feldman, 38, did not go but is planning a memorial service in LA.

He posted a touching letter on his official website.

‘Nobody will ever understand the brotherhood we shared,’ wrote Corey. ‘Nobody will ever get the inside jokes we told.

‘Nobody will ever know how to do the secret Corey handshake. Nobody will ever make me laugh as hard as you did. Nobody will ever make me fight as hard as you did.

‘Nobody will ever challenge me the way you did. Nobody will ever need me the way you did…

‘I love you and I will forever keep that close to my heart. I will do my very best to help give you a memorial that is a celebration of your life the way you would have wanted it…..with everybody laughing and rocking out!’

Meanwhile, the 911 call made by Corey Haim‘s mum Judy has been released.
