Lucy-Jo Hudson's man loves extraterrestrials and practical jokes

Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has revealed he’s got a surprising pastime – trying to spot extraterrestrials.

The actor, who’s played Tyrone Dobbs in the hit soap since 1998, is a big fan of stargazing and thinks there’s life elsewhere in the universe.

I definitely believe in aliens,’ says Alan, 30.

I’m completely fascinated by the subject.’

Alan, who is expecting his first child with actress wife Lucy-Jo Hudson, also has a hobby of playing pranks on his fellow cast members.

People probably aren’t aware of this but I am a nightmare practical joker on Corrie,’ the actor tells TV Magazine.

Bill [Tarmey, who played Jack Duckworth] used to write his lines and hide them all round the set. I’d find them and put them in different places just to wind him up.

I can’t help myself. If someone leaves their mobile phone around, I’ll send texts.’
