Feminist Michelle is angered by Robin Thicke's sexy promo

Michelle Collins has strong feminist beliefs and is glad that her daughter shares her views.

The Coronation Street actress, who plays landlady Stella Price in the soap, is disappointed by so many young women having cosmetic surgery to try and boost their attractiveness to men.

I just think far too many young people are completely self-obsessed,’ says Michelle, 51.

They’re having their bodies changed far too young and it’s dangerous.

To me, I find it a little bit sad.’

Michelle‘s daughter Maia, 17, isn’t afraid to express her own concerns.

Considering she’s got a mad actress as a mother, she’s far more well-balanced than I am!’ mum-of-one Michelle says.

Even videos like [Robin Thicke‘s] Blurred Lines. My daughter said to me: “I hate that video, I’m not watching it. It’s so disgusting and degrading to women.”

And actually, she’s right. I know I’m sounding like an old lady now but they’re just walking around in shorts where you can see half their bum hanging out – you cannot do that.’
