He might have only just touched back down in England, but I’m A Celeb runner-up Joel Dommett has already found himself at the centre of a rumoured romance.

The cheeky comedian is probably still washing the smell of jungle water out of his hair, but that hasn’t stopped him gushing about another former I’m A Celeb campmate – Ferne McCann.

Eeek. Do we sense a reality star romance?

Well, the pair have actually never met but Ferne did previously admit she had a bit of a thing for Joel, boldly announcing on This Morning: ‘It’s no secret that I have a crush on Joel. I like him.

‘I think he’s really funny, he’s got great abs, he’s got a great body, he’s eye candy but I think the reason why people are loving him is that he’s a normal guy and he’s witty. He’s got great banter.’

And when 30-year-old, Joel dropped by the This Morning studio on Friday, he seemed to confirm the pair have more than just the jungle in common…

Despite previously admitting he met someone before he went on I’m A Celeb, when Joel was grilled by presenters Ruth and Eamon on what he thought of the TOWIE star, he nervously laughed: ‘I think she is wonderful,’ before announcing: ‘It’s Ferne McCann not Ferne McCann’t.’

The former campmate added: ‘Shall we set a live date…’

Err… YES!

Joel dropped by the This Morning studio to chat about coming in second place on I’m A Celeb.

But the interview got a little awkward when match-maker, Ruth brought up Joel’s mum, Penny, declaring: ‘And Penny said she thought she was very nice…’

Before Joel joked: ‘I like that you’re asking my mother before asking me!’

Poor guy…

And it looks like things are moving pretty fast for the pair as Ferne has ALREADY spoken to Joel’s mum after she appeared on the show via satellite from Australia.

When asked about whether Ferne was her son’s type, Penny replied: ‘I’m sure he would think she’s wonderful. He finds lots of people interesting.’

Ooo, sounds promising.

Joel could find himself hanging out with the likes of Gemma Collins and Bobby Norris in Sugar Hut soon…
