Hot on the heels of revealing comeback single When The Bassline Drops, Craig David has revealed he wants X Factor hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack to join him in the studio!!
Here’s some MAJOR music news for late 90s/early 00s kids to get excited about – Craig David is BACK!
And what’s more, we just might get to see him hook up with X Factor hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs, if the Fill Me In singer gets his way!
Just 12 hours after Craig’s new track, When The Bassline Drops, premiered on Radio 1 Xtra, Caz and Ols clearly had the UK garage star on their mind as they busted out a rendition of his old school track Rendezvous – and shared it with Caroline’s 715k Instagram followers.
Olly then shared the video with his followers on Twitter, asking Craig for his thoughts – and the big man was more than impressed!
‘You always got soul bro, but hearing @carolineflack1 do the octave higher sealed it for the 10…with riffs at the end,’ Craig tweeted back at Olly.
And then the cheeky ladies man requested a studio date with Caz!
‘Time to get your lil’ arse in the studio @carolineflack1 me & @ollyofficial on BV’s,’ he wrote.
Obviously we totally knew that ‘BV’ stands for backing vocals, and didn’t spend a good ten minutes trying to work it out.
The boys then went on to organise a night out at The X Factor, complete with tequila shots at Craig’s insistence…
Erm, can we come please!?
Craig dropped his brand new track – his first new music in almost SIX years – on Radio 1 Xtra over the weekend, and it’s gotten people pretty excited.
The song – a collaboration with grime artist Big Narstie – is a definite return to the sound that made Craig’s debut album, Born To Do It, such a massive hit back in 1999. Which can only be a good thing, we reckon.
Take a listen here…
The tune seemed to go down well with Craig’s fans, with one writing on Twitter: ‘Yes yes yes yes yes! @CraigDavid is back and new track is banging!’
Another simply said: ‘New @CraigDavid and @bignarstie track is sick.’
Which is true – but not as sick as a CD/OM/CF collab would be!
