The footballer's vehicle is being sold in France

Cristiano Ronaldo’s mangled sports car has gone on sale in Duppigheim, France for £40,000.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fioran, which the Real Madrid star crashed in a tunnel near Manchester in January 2009, has been described as ‘repairable’ despite being written off after the accident.

‘The Ferrari went straight into the wall, his front left-hand wheel came off and then Ronaldo got out of the car,’ an onlooker at the scene told the BBC.

‘It’s a shame about the car.’

Cristiano failed to comment on the incident but luckily escaped without a scratch.
