Mitch makes emotional speech to mourners at daughter Amy's funeral

Distraught Mitch Winehouse told stories of daughter Amy Winehouse‘s childhood before saying goodbye for the final time at her funeral yesterday.

Hundreds of Amy‘s friends and family attended the Jewish service at Edgwarebury Cemetry in Edgware, North London, which lasted 45 minutes.

‘Goodnight, my angel,’ former cab driver Mitch, 60, said at the end of his eulogy. ‘Sleep tight. Mummy and Daddy love you ever so much.’

Mourners, including celebrity friends Kelly Osbourne and Mark Ronson, left the service to Amy‘s favourite song, Carole King‘s So Far Away.

Amy was later cremated in a private ceremony at Golders Green.

‘It was a celebration,’ Amy‘s spokesman Chris Goodman tells MailOnline. ‘[Mitch] stressed many times that she had been more content than she had been in years.

Mitch paid tribute to a lot of people from Amy‘s life.’

Amy, 27, was found dead in her bed by her security guard on Saturday.
