One of them has even worked with Cheryl Cole...
We always knew that Daniel and Natasha Bedingfield came from a seriously talented gene pool.
Between them, the singers – who were major stars in the noughties – had a string of hits, including the likes of Gotta Get Thru This (Daniel) and The Hills theme tune Unwritten (Natasha).
But did you know that there are not one but TWO other Bedingfields – and that they’re both musicians like their famous brother and sister? Pretty mind-blowing, we know!
Nikola Bedingfield is a a singer/songwriter who has written songs recorded by the likes CeeLo Green and JoJo.
She released her debut EP, Don’t Talk About This Love, in 2006 under the stage name Nikola Rachelle – and the title track went on be recorded by megastar Cheryl Cole for her album 3 Words! Check out Nikola’s version below…
More recently she rebranded as The Golden Phoenix. According to her Facebook page, her debut album Unleashed is set for release at an unspecified date in the future, and her sound is described as a ‘mingling indie pop and other sub-genres in lavishly conjured songs of variegated color and mood’. Oooh!
Meanwhile, Nikola’s website claimed that she was ‘courted by major record labels for years’ but that she chose to go down the independent route in line with her ‘tendency to colour outside the lines.’
Outside of her pop career, Nikola has also had commercial success writing jingles for adverts – even penning one for Coca Cola – and the theme tune for TV show.
Her social media profile reveals that her famous family members are very close to her heart, with sis Natasha in particular featuring heavily.
But the talent of the Bedingfield name doesn’t stop there! Enter brother Josh Bedingfield, another singer/songwriter for whom ‘music = life’, according to his Instagram profile.
And, somewhat freakily, he looks EXACTLY like his famous brother Daniel!
Not much is known about Josh’s music career, but check out this SERIOUSLY impressive video he shared at Christmas of him jamming with sisters Natasha and Nikola…
Not since the Von Trapps has one family been so musically gifted!
