Actor doubts there'll be another movie

Daniel Radcliffe can’t see himself ever appearing in another Harry Potter film.

JK Rowling, the author of the saga, thrilled fans by releasing a short new piece about the characters online this week but Daniel doesn’t think it will lead to a movie.

‘My inclination is to say no,’ says Daniel, 24.

‘I don’t think it’s a question that’s even – not even hypothetical. As I understand, it’s a very short piece, not of itself worthy of adaptation to film.’

The latest story, written under the guise of gossip columnist Rita Skeeter on the Pottermore website, describes the 30-something Harry and his fellow wizards Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger being reunited at the 2014 Quidditch World Cup final.

With it being set several years after the original books, Daniel thinks the age gap would be a problem if the tale made it to the big screen.

‘[Harry] is at least 12 years older than I am now,’ the actor tells the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

‘[So] I don’t think I’ll have to worry about that for a long time.’
