It's been years since we heard anything of Rebecca Loos and THAT David Beckham scandal, so we did some digging to see what her life is like now…
Remember back in 2004 when David Beckham‘s personal assistant, Rebecca Loos, claimed they had a sexy fling? Well, we haven’t seen much of her since then, so we did some digging to see what her life is like now.
The former PA enjoyed her 15 minutes of fame after the cheating scandal, hitting red carpets and appearing on Celebrity Love Island, The X Factor and The Farm. She was openly bisexual before falling pregnant with her son Magnus and moving to Norway in 2008, where she married a doctor called Sven and had a second child Liam, now six.
Now 40, Rebecca works as an medical assistant.
We last saw her in 2013 on the Daybreak couch talking about her claims. We’re not even sure why Rebecca was on Daybreak at the time, maybe to celebrate the er, nine year anniversary of her kiss and tell?
At the time Rebecca said: ‘Obviously I’m a mother now and I’m married myself and being in the media for six or seven years, so knowing what I know now, I would have definitely gone about things quite differently.’
She continued: ‘I think I was quite young and foolish and very reckless, and obviously I didn’t think things through, I just acted on impulse. And I like to think I’m a lot less like that now, hopefully.’
Good news though – she doesn’t feel bad about claiming she’d had an affair with a married man, just how she made those claims. Asked if she regretted the impact the story made, she said: ‘Probably, yes, I think I do. I think I regret the impact on everybody. But I think I just maybe could have gone about it in a kinder way. I don’t regret speaking out but I regret the way I went about it, so put it that way, yes.’
Thankfully, one of our favourite couples, David and Victoria Beckham, have remained strong since the claims were made though.
Their wedding vows renewal in 2008 was the first step towards getting their relationship back on track after a difficult four years fending off reports that David had been unfaithful while he was living in Madrid in 2004. David never confirmed the affair, describing the allegations as ‘ludicrous’, but the stress of the rumours took its toll as he and Victoria battled to save their marriage.
In 2007, Victoria opened up about the pressures, saying: ‘I’m not going to lie, it was a really tough time. No one said marriage was going to be easy. Yes, there have been bumps along the road.’
Victoria, 44, saw the vows renewal as a second chance for them, and even had ‘De Integro’, a Latin phrase that translates as ‘again from the start’, inked on her wrist.
Since then, the pair have gone from strength to strength and are constantly praising each other and saying how much they love one another on social media.
Aww, you guys!
