Dermot O'Leary: I love being a cat dad but I'd like children soon

X Factor presenter has a feline family

Dermot O’Leary doesn’t have kids yet but already feels like a father – to his cats.

The presenter, who married long-term partner Dee Koppang in 2012, worries about pet moggies Silver and Toto like he’s their parent.

[It] feels like a family, I tell you,’ says Dermot, 40.

Honestly, I feel like a dad. One of them went missing the other night, I was terrified.

I was thinking we’d lost him forever. Then he came round the side and miaowed.

I love being a cat dad.’

Dermot hopes to have babies of his own at some point but it’s got to be when TV producer Dee is ready too.

I would like to have children soon,’ the X Factor host tells Fabulous.

But I’m only half of the equation.’
