Strictly Come Dancing's most popular professional has told Now exclusively that he's tipping Mark Wright to win the coverted glitterball trophy this weekend
He’s through to the final of Strictly Come Dancing, despite previously admitting, ‘I’m not a natural dancer’.
And things just seem to be getting better and better for Mark Wrightnow he’s received the ultimate accolade from Strictly‘s most popular pro toe-tapper, Brendan Cole, who exclusively told us: ‘Mark could win.’
Brendan, who was voted off with his dance partner Casualty actress Sunetra Sarker after a difficult rumba in week 10, has been impressed with the effort Mark‘s put into his performances every week and thinks he deserves to win.
‘I quite like the underdogs and you can see the excitement in Mark‘s face when he gets through – it’s absolute disbelief – and I like that about the guy; he’s a trier,’ says Brendan. ‘I would actually like to see an all-male final. Last year it was an all-girl final so why not give the boys a chance?’
Our Now fave and bumper Christmas issue cover star, Mark, will be dancing in the final on Saturday against The Saturdays’ Frankie Bridge, Blue‘s Simon Webbe and TV presenter Caroline Flack, who Brendan thinks is Mark‘s biggest competition.
‘I think potentially Mark or Caroline will win, I can’t see that much of a difference between people at this stage of the competition and every single person has put in an extraordinary amount of time and effort to get there,’ says Brendan. ‘Caroline has always had a bit of a bad rap from the judging panel and in my mind she didn’t get the marks she deserves sometimes so I think it would be nice got her or Mark to go on and lift the trophy.’
Will Brendan‘s prediction be right? Who’ll be crowned the next champion of Strictly Come Dancing and get their mitts on the glitterball trophy? We can’t wait for the final on Saturday to find out!
