Posh's BFF describes herself as an aspiring member of the Spice Girls in this hilarious video
You probably know that it’s 20 years this August since the Spice Girls first glitter-bombed their way into our world – and, if you didn’t, we’re sorry for that ‘wow, I feel old’ bombshell.
And, whilst there’s much speculation around how the band will celebrate the landmark anniversary, it’s more than likely that Victoria Beckham won’t be joining in the fun – boo! Whatever happened to ‘friendship never ends’?
But worry not, because Hollywood actress Eva Longoria – who also just so happens to be Posh’s BFF – is on hand and keen to join the girl group!
The Desperate Housewives star has recorded her own performance of the Spices’ debut hit, Wannabe, but with an unusual twist – in the style of an American soap opera. Because, why not?
Introducing herself as an ‘actor, producer, activist and aspiring Spice Girl’, Eva takes a moment to get into character before launching into a dramatic performance of those iconic lyrics.
From anger to heartache to borderline hysterical, she runs through the full range of soap emotions – and her hilarious performance definitely gets our vote!
Mel B has pretty much promised us that the band will do something to mark their 20th anniversary, having said: ‘It would be rude not to celebrate so hopefully something will be happening pretty soon.’
But Posh is apparently ‘too busy’ running her super-successful fashion line to hook-up with Mel and the rest of her fellow Spices, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Horner.
Plus we get the impression that she doesn’t really Wannabe (boom, boom) involved, having told British Vogue of their 2008 reunion tour: ‘It should have been the best moment of my life, but I just wanted to be elsewhere.’
Meanwhile, Little Mix recently revealed they’d love to perform with the 90s band in honour of their 20th year. And just imagine how good that would be!
