Desperate Housewives star swoops on Harrods

Eva Longoria went on a £35,000 shopping spree after she opened the Harrods sale this week.

The actress, 31, blew the whopping sum in just 90 minutes as she picked up cut-price designer handbags, shoes and coats at the Knightsbridge department store.

‘This is my favourite store! I’ve never seen anything like this, it’s amazing! she declared.

Eva, who recently became engaged to San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker, was given a private tour of the emporium by owner Mohammed Al Fayed.

Tony and Eva plan to marry next summer but will have to fit the ceremony into the Desperate Housewives’ production schedules.

‘We film for 10 months of the year,’ says Eva, ‘so for my wedding I’m only going to get a week off and then it’s back to work.’
