Kate Middleton and Prince William's daughter is due to be Christened next month
While we’re obsessed with Prince George – hands up who saw him at the polo rolling around in the grass while mummy Kate Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge ran around after him, so cute – we’re also desperate for another glimpse of his baby sister Princess Charlotte. And luckily we haven’t got long to wait Charlotte will be christened in the same church as her late grandmother Princess Diana on 5 July.
The christening will take place at the St Mary Magdalene Church, just a short walk from the Queen’s Sandringham Estate where Diana was baptised on 30 August 1961. Charlotte will be baptised by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby at a service attended by close family and
godparents and will wear the same royal silk and lace christening gown that George did.
Her godparents will be announced on the day, but bookies are strongly in favour of her aunt Pippa Middleton and uncle Prince Harry, as well as Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. But we’re still free, Kate, in case you need any more options.
And while it’ll be day where all eyes are on his sister George has had to get used to playing second fiddle to Princess Charlotte since she was born eight weeks ago. And when the first
official photos of the pair taken by their mum Kate were released, the fanfare was centred around the new princess.
And Grandad Prince Charles has revealed that Charlotte’s a better behaved baby than her big brother. He was speaking at an event for war veterans at Clarence House recently and one guest said: ‘We were talking about grandchildren and he was saying Princess Charlotte does sleep through the night and it was much easier on mum than Prince George.’
We doubt Kate is putting her feet up keeping George in check while tending to Charlotte but we’re looking forward to more family snaps already!
