She wants to concentrate on US career

Fearne Cotton has quit X Factor spin-off The Xtra Factor.

The telly host, 25, wants to concentrate on her burgeoning US career after signing up to front a new American talent show.

‘Fearne has decided she won’t be presenting the next series of Xtra Factor for ITV2,’ Fearne’s rep Simon Jones tells Now Online.

‘She has signed up to co-host Last Comic Standing in the USA for NBC. She starts filming this week.

‘She will then return to the UK to host Guilty Pleasures for ITV1 and The BRITS for ITV1.’

Fearne – who is currently in LA recording the auditions for Last Comic Standing – took over presenting duties on The Xtra Factor after Ben Shephard, 33, left in 2006.
