Dan Osborne breaks down during our exclusive interview

This week Dan Osborne finally broke his silence and opened up in his ONLY interview about the ‘worst time of his life’ to Now and revealed what really happened when, two months ago, shocking recordings emerged of Dan verbally abusing and threatening to stab his ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin, the mother of his 17-month-old son Teddy.

Dan, who split with Megan, 22, in April 2013 after a turbulent 18-month relationship, was heard telling her he’d stab her if she slept with another man and that his relationship and then-unborn child Ella with EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa, 22, were ‘a mistake’.

During our exclusive interview on those threats, Dan broke down twice. At times, he was too choked with emotion
to talk, having to take moments to compose himself before he could carry
on. Dan spoke honestly and openly about his shame at how he behaved on
the tapes and why he was ‘pushed to the limit.’

And now you can listen to the ‘tape behind the tape’ and the moment Dan broke down to Now’s Amy Brookbanks as he spoke about how he feared his girlfriend Jacqueline might leave him here

The clip from our recording of Dan’s interview was never intended to
become public, but following the incredible reaction to
his side of the story, we thought it was important that you listen to Dan speak himself.

In our exclusive tape, which Dan has given his permission for us to release, he can be heard saying: ‘More than anything, I’m sorry to Jacqueline. She’s put up with so much but supported me through everything. I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to her.’

And when an emotional Dan was asked, ‘Was there ever a moment when you thought you might lose Jacqueline?’ he couldn’t conceal his feelings any longer. He breaks down in tears as he admits: ‘Yeah. The day I walked out of court knowing I had Teddy three days a week, I felt the happiest man in the world. I had the three people who I love more than anything in the world and we’d all be in one house together for half of a week. It’s the best I’ve ever felt. Since that day I’ve not felt any stress or anger – nothing. I’ve just been so happy and that’s what everyone needs to know. Everyone thinks I’m this crazy bastard. I’m not – all I’ve wanted was to see my son.’
