The TOWIE star has been left shocked by the accusations
Ferne McCann has urged her boyfriend Arthur Collins to come forward after police revealed he’s wanted in connection with an acid attack at a nightclub.
Police are hunting the former TOWIE star’s partner following the incident at Mangle club in east London over the Easter holiday weekend, where 20 people were injured after an unknown attacked splashed acid at partygoers.
Ferne, 26, was not with her boyfriend when the attack unfolded in the early hours of Monday morning and has issued a statement encouraging him to co-operate with police.
‘Ferne is aware that the police wish to speak to Arthur Collins and the nature of the accusations against him,’ her rep tells Sky News. ‘Obviously these are highly shocking and Ferne has co-operated with the police in their inquiries.
‘She was not with Arthur on Sunday night; was not at Mangle; and has no direct knowledge of the events that unfolded.
‘As much as anybody she wants to know the truth and urges Arthur to co-operate fully with the police and attend a police station immediately.’
Police have stressed that members of the public should not approach Arthur and they have also raided an address in Hertfordshire thought to be his home.
Two men remain in a specialist burns hospital following the acid attack and are in a serious but stable condition.
Other guests at the party included TOWIE stars Jamie Reed, Jade Lewis and Chloe Meadows. Jamie O’Hara has also revealed that his cousin Sadie Wright was injured during the incident.
‘sick that my cousin got burnt from this acid attack in hackney,’ Jamie posted on Twitter. ‘innocent people get injured for the sick act of violence’
News of police hunting Arthur comes after Ferne – who first dated the 25-year-old scaffolder last summer and then reunited with him this year – spoke earlier this week of how she hoped to marry and move in with him.
