The girls were forced to perform without Lauren Jauregui
Fifth Harmony were one member down when they performed in Brazil on Wednesday night (14th December), after Lauren Jauregui was caught up in a drugs scandal.
TMZ reports that the Work From Home singer was on her way to the Audio Club event in Sao Paulo when she was stopped by security at Washington Dulles airport.
A police insider told the website that the cops were called to the terminal on Tuesday night after Lauren was pulled over at a TSA checkpoint and searched.
The 20-year-old was found with what appeared to be, a small bag of marijuana in her hand-luggage and ended up missing her flight.
It was initially claimed the star was detained, but Lauren’s attorney has since told TMZ that the singer wasn’t actually arrested, and was ‘simply given a citation for possession of marijuana and released on her own recognizance.’
Despite not making it to the show in time, her bandmates Camila Cabello, Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei and Dinah Jane Hansen took to the VEVO FunPopFun Festival stage without her.
One fan even captured Camilla giving a shout-out to her band-mate onstage, encouraging the audience to “sing it for our girl!”
Although the band were forced to perform as a four-piece, the pop star’s attorney has confirmed the incident at the airport ‘will not interfere with any future scheduled performances or activities.’
Which is good news for the girls as they’ve got a busy few weeks coming up!
