What will we do without the flirty Kaiser Chief Ricky Wilson on our screens once The Voice is over?
Wow – we can’t believe The Voice is nearly over. Who’s going to sex up our Saturday nights now that cutie-pie Ricky Wilson will be off our screens after the final next week?
We’ve been glued to our telly watching sparks fly between the newly single Kaiser Chief and fellow Voice coach Rita Ora.
Ricky, 37, confirmed earlier this month that he had split from his TV producer girlfriend Lesley Williams after five years of dating.
Here are 5 reasons we just can’t get enough of him…
1. He knows how to flirt without crossing the boundaries
And what is it about men called Ricky that Rita has a soft spot for?
The RIP singer may be loved-up with Tommy Hilfiger’s son Ricky, but Oh My God I Can’t Believe It, it’s all about Kaiser’s Ricky when the cameras start rolling.
Rita, who Ricky confessed had massaged him with oil to get him to relax, giggled: ‘[He’s] such a flirt,’ before Ricky planted a kiss on her cheek, when she missed out on getting a contestant on her team.
Ricky said: ‘She’s naughtier than Kylie or Jessie J.’
2. He’s humble
Despite his success, he’s not afraid to admit he’s ‘not the best singer’ ahead of a performance on The Voice tonight with his acts.
In tonight’s semi-final the four coaches will each be singing alongside their contestants in a group performance.
Ricky’s going to let the artists take the helm as he prepares to hit the stage with Stevie McCrorie and Emmanuel Nwamadi.
Despite having a catalogue of hits, the Kaiser Chiefs frontman confessed: ‘I’m not the best singer.
‘I would never presume I could sing better than any of my finalists because they deserve to win The Voice. I just deserve to be a coach.’
He added: ‘It’s the contestants who are going to lead the way. It’s not a popularity contest.’
3. He’s not afraid to take on the mighty Tom Jones
Yep, that makes him brave. And we like brave. We all know It’s Not Unusual (geddit) for Sir Tom to drop a few names, but Ricky knows just how to get his own back.
He said: ‘No matter how many followers you’ve got… it doesn’t matter how many records you’ve sold or how many records you’ve produced, or if you knew Elvis or not. It’s now about the singers.’
4. He’s gone from nottie to hottie and a bit flabby to fittie after stepping up his gym regime after revamping his bod for the show
Hello, he’s HOT. His secret: ‘I’ve just been running really. And working non-stop,’ He tells Now. ‘I’m exhausted!’
5. His image overhaul has gone hand in hand with his career overhaul
How many people can boast going from beer swigging grunge king at Leeds festival, to a fully fledged TV star and eligible bachelor?
Ladies, form an orderly queue please…
